I've been carved out, little by little, with a spoon once so shiny, My guts put onto a wax paper covered baking sheet, Like pumpkin seeds for the roasting, You can see right through the holes they cut for eyes, A tiny lit red tea light candle is all that was replaced inside, And now the wick is getting nearer its grand finale. Scoop out what's left behind and keep it as an essential oil. Bottle me up and save me 'til the end of time.
