When loving you feels like running—
a moment at peace, disembodied,
except for the cooling headwind
and thumping of blood in my ears—

I focus on fluid motions,
the rhythm of footfalls and breathing,
remember my body's presence,
and tally the milestones back,

where perfect and patient,
your smile, your eyes,
each part of you
urgently
calls
kiss me, kiss me, kiss me.
